The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at PSU (JSMA at PSU) in collaboration with the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science (MCECS) invites PSU students, faculty, and staff to participate in a community mural painting project led by Steven Paul Judd, Native American (Kiowa-Choctaw) visual artist, filmmaker, and writer.

Steven's creative practice playfully engages themes surrounding Native representation in contemporary American pop culture, creating satirical and Pop Art-like visuals reclaiming iconic native figures, imagery, and history. Alongside his work as a visual artist, Steven is an accomplished film and television writer. He is a member of the Writer’s Guild of America, served as staff writer for Disney’s XD Comedy Series, “Zeke and Luther,” and his short films including Search for the World’s Best Indian Taco and Ronnie BoDean have received honors at international film festivals.

The mural painting activity will take place at the Shattuck Hall Annex. The resulting artwork will be a large mosaic canvas tile mural exhibited in PSU’s Lincoln Hall Broadway Gallery space.

All PSU students and PSU community members are invited to participate. No prior art experience needed. Visit the link to register for a timesheet: https://forms.gle/sBKH1PhRXYcF9anUA
